Meet the Principal, Peter Saccasan.

Peter Saccasan is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, having just stepped down as a partner of RSM Australia in June 2023 after a long career in public practice.

Having been an owner of his own practice for 20 years, Peter moved the firm into RSM Australia and was a partner there for 12 years.  RSM is no. 7 in Australia and Peter was one of 131 partners.

As a partner in the Sydney Business Advisory division of RSM, Peter provided advisory, management, tax and accounting services to clients with turnover ranging to over $100m and consisting of a broad range of group structures.

During his tenure at RSM, Peter also held national leadership positions for 6 years including:

National Head, Business Advisory:

Co-ordinating resources and strategy across RSM’s 32 offices where there was a Business Advisory unit, working with over 50 partners and principals and 400 staff, establishing technology platforms, one RSM way and being responsible for business improvement projects.

National  Leader, Health Services: 

Leading the firm’s health experts across all RSM service lines to bring together a stronger presence in the Health space, backed by solutions and services in identified industries across the Health Sector. Responsible for the establishment of the RSM Australia’s ‘Health Services by RSM’ brand and positioning.

Partner Responsible, Digital Advisory:

Leading this division which played a key role in establishing systems for the growth in cloud-based applications across the Business Advisory division of RSM, pushing cloud adoption across RSM’s business clients,  and which has provided technology solutions to hundreds of medium and large busineses.

Peter is married to Gemma, and has 5 children.
